Our apartments
We offer four individual arranged and fully equipped apartments (kitchen and bathroom included) with love for detail. With a terrace and a direct river view.
Vista do Paraíso is our Apartment on the first floor with an own terrace . It contains an outdoor kitchen. And an amazing overview to the Pool, the Palm trees and the Mondego River. If you open the door, you dive directly into a holiday paradise.
Vista do Penedo has a direct view to the viewpoint Penedo Cabana. It’s the big, luxury apartment. Perfect for couples or parents with child.

Vista da Palmeira has a direct view to the palm trees. It’s the colourful, playful apartment. Perfect for families, couples or friends.
Our other accommodations
The wooden house is fully equipped with a bathroom and an outdoor kitchen.
The little stone house has a separated toilet and shower cabin with a private key - about 30m away.
The Casa Romântica is, as its name suggests, a small romantic stone cottage with a direct view of the Mondego River.
Vista do Cavalo is a wooden hut between old olive trees with a view of our horses. This accommodation, like all our accommodation, offers a unique flair and gives you a very special holiday feeling.

A good Holiday needs good Food
What would a holiday be like if you didn't have to worry about anything?
All you have to do is wake up and enjoy the lovingly prepared breakfast at our snack bar.
At lunchtime, you cool yourself down with an ice cream and a cool drink.
And in the evening, David conjures up a delicious meal.

We spent 3 nights as a family in this idyllic place, we were very well received by the Hesshaimer family, the apartment was spacious (5 people) and very clean. We love everything, the people, the animals, the connection with horses, the simplicity of things and the natural beauty of this Mondego valley is something truly unique. The pool is useful for kids, while adults just need a book and enjoy the view, it's an excellent retreat to rest and "clear your mind". I highly recommend a trip down the river, on a SUP or Kayak, at sunset, they are magical landscapes.

From the banks of the Mondego river to the top of the mountain
Welcome to Encontro no Rio. It is located directly on the Mondego river. This place has a special spirit: it is peaceful and calm. A place where time has no meaning. And where you can absolutely forget the stress of the daily working life. When you come down the road, it feels like entering into a different world. All around the farm is covered with trees in an up and down going of nature and the river.
We are living here family based with attention to nature, all our animals and guests. Everything here is based on encounter. That’s why we called the farm: Encontro no Rio. Our aim is to share this amazing and special place and welcome as much people as possible.
Holidays directly at the riverside
The Mondego river is a dam river. So, each month and season is totally different here and has its charming advantages. Spring and summer are the best seasons for swimming, and the rest of the year we have a big river beach. Although the farm and the river are surrounded by impressive forests, the property is open and wide. On the right river side we have beautiful and mystic sunrises – very special when the fog dances on the river. And on the left river side we have sunny and intensive sunsets – sometimes the horizon is covered with magical colours. It feels like being in Paradise.
